Heavy-Duty Sediment Removal

The HYDRA BIG PM takes the convenience of self-cleaning technology and scales it up for higher performance. It combines the strength of the standard HYDRA with a significantly larger bowl capacity. This allows it to handle heavier dirt loads and maintain high flow rates for longer periods between cleanings, making it perfect for villas or areas with particularly turbid water.

Effortless Maintenance
Cleaning is quick and easy: simply open the discharge valve at the bottom. This triggers a pressure drop that reverses the water flow (back-wash), pushing impurities off the cartridge surface and discharging them through the included drain funnel. The system includes a device to prevent back-flow of expelled water into the clean system .

Professional Monitoring
The “PM” designation indicates the head is pre-tapped with brass inserts. While supplied with plugs, these can be replaced with pressure gauges (sold separately). Monitoring the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet is the most accurate way to determine when a backwash is required.
