Our Pre-Filtration Water filters in Thailand are versatile in how they can be fitted. Depending on the existing tank positioning, you can set up the filter to feed into the tank, or install it on the outlet.

There are benefits to both types of installation and the one best suited to you will depend on the current set up of your home’s water system.

Before the Tank

Protects the tank itself from sediment, debris, and contaminants, reducing internal buildup and wear
Helps extend the life of the tank and downstream equipment (like pumps, irrigation systems, or UV filters).
Minimises the risk of bacteria or algae growth inside the tank caused by organic matter entering with the water.
Ideal if the incoming water source (borehole, river, rainwater, or mains supply) is heavily contaminated

After the Tank

Ensures the cleanest possible water is delivered to taps, irrigation lines, or appliances — especially if water sits in the tank for long periods.
Helps catch any sediment or biofilm that may have built up inside the tank over time.
Useful if the tank is fed from multiple sources (e.g. both mains top-up and rainwater) and you want consistent quality coming out.
Best for: systems where the tank isn’t sealed or is older, and where the main concern is the water used after storage
