Thanks to the exclusive system with back-wash in counter- current, cleaning is now easier than ever. HYDRA can be installed as a pre-filter before your water tank to keep it clean from sediment and sludge or before your existing water filter to save on maintenance costs. Simply open the valve to flush accumulated sediment out via the drain funnel.
Our basic Water filters in Thailand are versatile in how they can be fitted. Depending on the existing tank positioning, you can set up the filter to feed into the tank, or install it on the outlet.

Basic filters, like our HYDRA series, are designed to remove solid particles from your water—things like sand, mud, rust, and silt. Their primary job is protection:
Protect your home: Prevent sediment from clogging your pipes, showerheads, and washing machines.
Protect your tank: Keep mud and sludge from building up at the bottom of your water storage tank.
Protect your health: While they don’t kill bacteria, they remove the physical dirt that bacteria often hide in.
No. A Sediment Filter makes your water look clearer and cleaner by removing dirt, but it does not kill invisible bacteria, viruses, or remove chemicals like chlorine.

The HYDRA filters feature a smart “backwash” system. Instead of removing the cartridge by hand to scrub it, you simply open a valve at the bottom of the unit. This reverses the water flow instantly, pushing dirt out of the filter and down the drain. This takes just a few seconds and keeps your filter cartridge clean without the mess.
This depends heavily on your water pressure:
The Rule: The self-cleaning function requires a minimum pressure of 1.8 bar to work correctly.
Option A (Before Tank): Ideal for keeping your tank clean, BUT only if your municipal water pressure is strong (above 1.8 bar). If the pressure is too low, the filter won’t be able to flush itself out.
Option B (After Pump): If your incoming water pressure is weak, you must install this filter after your water pump. This ensures the filter gets the pressure it needs to self-clean effectively.
The HYDRA series is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 8 bar (116 psi).
Yes! The HYDRA is an excellent first defense for well water. Groundwater often carries heavy sand and silt that can destroy expensive water pumps and appliances. Installing a HYDRA filter is a low-cost way to stop that coarse sediment before it causes damage.
It mainly comes down to Flow Rate (how much water you use):
HYDRA (Standard): Ideal for normal home use (up to 100 Liters/min).
HYDRA BIG: Designed for large villas, resorts, or heavy-duty use (up to 250 Liters/min) where you need maximum water flow without pressure loss.
It is also important to remember that the HYDRA uses 1″ (1 inch) connections while the HYDRA BIG uses 1 1/2″ (1,5 inch) connections.
